a wonderful thing to believe
Every UFO story ends with a sigh. A whimper. Disappointment. The beginnings are all wonder and mystery. The middles often beguiling, intriguing, surreal, nonsensical, sometimes farcical. But the endings alway leave us dismayed. A series of strange sights and sounds and sensations. Amounting to nothing. No answers, no revelation, no resolution. Nothing but the ephemeral illusion of something grander, stranger, deeper than our ordinary little lives.
Issue 8 explores the strange, fake, true, fantastical UFO phenomenon in the American imagination.
